Propane "oil" in my pipeline questions
Changed out a propane regulator yesterday. In the process I had to disconnect the pipeline. Not only at regulator but also underneath where rubber line meets iron pipe. About a thimble of what looks like "3 in one oil" dripped out. The rubber hose had a bit of a low spot before it connected to a iron pipe. The low spot was where the "oil" collected was in the rubber line just before the iron pipe. If this "oil" messes up propane stuff, I'm at a perfect spot to install a short stub that could be emptied every now an then to drain it.
RV has been getting full time use last couple years if that matters. Never had any problems on other RV's but never full timed in other RV's before.
Reason for changing the regulator in first place was because the gauge did not work, not because it wasn't regulating propane. Inside of old regulator is dry.
Questions:
Is this amount of "oil" build up normal?
Does this "oil" build up over time and create any other problems?
Any chance of I picked up some "bad" propane somewhere? (I've never heard of "bad" propane, but like diesel always a possibility?)
