What advantages, if any, are there of a Pull-Along over a 5th Wheel?
None - NanciLExplorer IIPlenty of extra space in the truck bed especially if you have a cap on it.
Also can carry canoes or kayaks on the truck roof

Just use the term "Travel Trailer" instead of "Pull Along". You'll get more hits - Earl_EExplorerI hardly ever say "Do a search." There are 100's of responses to the same question so you may want to try it.
- SeamuttExplorerTT level floor and fewer steps into the unit from ground.
Have the proper tow vehicle with a longer wheel base no stability issue. TT also lighter. - rhagfoExplorer IIIWell the biggest advantage of a 5er over a TT is stability!!!
A 5th wheel is naturally far more stable than a TT due to the pivot point being directly over the rear axle.
This means far less issue with sway and the tail wagging the dog.
With a TT the longer the trailer the greater the effect that the trailer has on the TV. - Pick-up truck not required for TT. Large van or SUV will work.
If you do use a truck, the bed is clear for other stuff with TT.
TT tends to cost less. - Chuck_thehammerExplorermy travel trailer has 3 steps... in to trailer.
wife does night time walks to bathroom.. NO steps down to restroom..
most 5th have master bedroom UP in the nose..
I understand this is changing..
but 5th do make turns tighter. more storage. more weight. much HIGHER.
I do not dislike 5th... but the new ones with bedroom and bathroom on the same level is a possibility in the future. - korbeExplorerWith our 5er, the DW isn't too happy with all the stair risers - from dirt to bed is 7 risers. But I like the storage, headroom, hitching, maneuvering, and compactness.
