Height limits vary by state. Height Map
Eastern US is all 13'6" maximum height, so a 13'7" RV wouldn't be legal anywhere east of Missouri plus Oklahoma.
Good link! But.... just for fun, I looked at Connecticut. It is all commercial hauling / trucks. With a very quick look, I couldn't find if it applies to campers / RVs.
I am just curious. My TT is well under the limits.
The site I linked is aimed at truckers, but most states have the same law for all vehicles. RVs sometimes get exemptions for mirrors and awnings. Connecticut code says:
"Sec. 14-264. Special permits for vehicles of excessive height. No vehicle, except a vehicle loaded with loose hay or straw, whose height, with its load, exceeds thirteen feet six inches, shall be operated upon any highway or bridge without a special written permit from the Commissioner of Transportation as provided in section 14-270, specifying the period for which and the other conditions under which such vehicle shall be permitted to be so operated. Violation of the provision of this section shall be subject to a fine of one thousand five hundred dollars."
Indiana is similar as I would expect most states are.
