How will it be licensed for the trip home?
You cannot get it licensed for the road without a titled signed over to you or the dealer processing the paperwork for DMV. Unless the dealer is doing the DMV work for you before you leave then all The bill of sale says is you bought it from dealer, it DOES NOT mean the dealer had the authority to sell it to you nor does it mean he has the title free and clear without encumbrance. My guess there is a lien holder shown on the title and he is going to use your money to pay off the lien holder so he can get a release of lien to give you with the title or then process at DMV. If he does not pay off the lien you will be stuck either paying the lien yourself or suing the guy either one is a pain in the BASS. Are you going to check the VIN to make sure the title he shows you is the title for unit you bought.
To shady for my taste but I have a very low risk tolerance
