This is a very simple transaction that takes place every day. Different states do it differently. It has been a few years since I bought a car in NC but it was basically the same as buying one in PA. The "bill of sale" will be on a DMV form. It will show price paid and taxes paid along with all the vehicle/trailer info and even a line for fees paid for transfer to the DMV. Hold on to your money until you see the DMV form with all the proper info on it and everything will be fine.
