Did you not see above that comments from a foreign country are not appreciated
It is not so much that such comments are not appreciated, more that they are pretty much useless. I find it quite interesting how the transfer paperwork is handled in the various states and provinces.
However, the fact that some states and provinces have instant title printing at the courthouse doesn't mean a thing if YOU don't live there!
Yes, when I lived in Wyoming if I bought a vehicle I took the paperwork to the courthouse and walked out fifteen minutes later with the title, registration, and license plates.
BUT
Here in Montana, when purchasing from a dealer, it will be a week or more before the court house sends me a card to come finalize the papers, then 2 to 6 weeks before the title arrives. In the meantime, the vehicle has a paper temporary license plate, good for 40 days.
Only people who live in Montana really care.
We also like our PERMANENT registration: ALL trailers, ALL motorcycles (including street-legal ATVs), ALL boats, and ALL vehicles 11 years old or older can have PERMANENT registration!
Yes, my motorhome and my truck NEVER have to be renewed!
Does YOUR state or province have that?
