- AndymonExplorerThe sending unit in the fuel tank could be bad. Maybe a loose wire under the dash.
- Matt_ColieExplorer IIXerofall,
Our coach is that age and unless you are a competent mechanic and technician, I can promise you that it will eat you alive. If it has no water damage, it can be a good deal.
You said that tires are new, but remember that they only live 5~7 years regardless of what they look like. Plan to replace all the rubber. That means fuel, coolant and brake lines. While you are doing the brake lines, count on flushing the brake system as well.
You have to start be thinking of it as a house on a truck. That is what you will be dealing with for as long as you own it.
I wish you luck and safe travel.

- wirenutzExplorerthe motor is it a 413 or a 440 both being dodge motors, really looks and sounds great, like I said i miss mine, but wifh and myself live full time in our fifth wheel and well need a bit more room than 20 feet, the fuel sender is going to located on top of the tanks, easy to drop and remove, if you get them out and take an ohm meter reading on them while moving the float, if the meter moves it might be the gauge, you can always just replace the senders and the gauge with after market stuff, the 10 year thing is not always enforced but it is still on the books, they mostly go by the way it looks when you pull into the campground
- XerofallExplorerOh, one more thing... the rubber seals around all the windows were soft, fresh and intact. That's something I'm looking for in my search too.

- wirenutzExplorerboy that reminds me of my first MH, if that has split rims still on it, dont walk away, run away, no one will touch those rims if you get a flat tire, ours was 23 feet long, looked just like this one, another problem will be getting into any RV parks, most have a 10 year rule, but on the other hand if you like to camp in national forests or campgrounds that don't have hook ups you should be fine, how does the generator run ? any water leaks ? Any repair work that you can see ? boy that brings back some good memory's
