Ballpark seat of my pants WAG. If you have an Express,Tradesman or lightly optioned SLT you more than likely are ok. A Laramie or Bighorn,I can almost guarantee that you are over payload.

The only numbers that you need to be concerned with initially is the not to exceed sticker on your drivers door frame, and the Gross weight of your trailer.
If you are out of spec,it does not necessarily mean that you are unsafe. And no matter what is said there are band aids that work to increase your capacity. Just putting LT's on will help. In extreme cases you can change to aftermarket coils for less than 300 dollars.
No it will not change the sticker, but if you wreck you will not be put in prison with the child molesters as some posters will tell you. And yes insurance will still pay the claim!
