I have to say I understand where you are coming from ..We looked and looked at use 5th wheels . One we went in smell like dog and then another one smelled like cats, and then we went in another one and it smelled like someone die in it sorry <<:( ( that is what husband said he was a cop for 32 years ) We kept looking and we found ours the owner had no cats and no dogs and was a clean freak well his wife was>>>>:) and I couldnt believe we found one the only bad thing we saw was the out side needed a good washing and alittle TLC the awning where dry rot and mattresses need to be replace they are old and I need good ones because I have a bad back .. The owner that had it his wife took really great care of the inside of it but the man had a stroke and for the last two years couldnt do much of anything so it was time to sale..
I have to say you have to get your mine set on looking at a lot of campers and even the ones at dealer ships would smelling bad, we looked at private owners and we got one and the prices are a lot different too .. I cleaned the carpet and cleaned it from top to bottom just because i needed to know it was clean.. Anyway Good Luck and I am sure you will get a good one...
