Odds are in the the seller of the warranty. If they were not making money on them, deal or after dealer, they would not sell them. It works our for some people and if you don't have some cash available for a rainy day, then it might give you a little peace of mind. I personally vote for keeping the money for a rainy day and try to learn and do stuff yourself.
