Replacement keys

Bought a 2021 partially used grand design imagine but only received one set of keys.
So, can these keys be made? Boy in town couldn't so asking you
  • You may be able to buy them on Amazon.

The key number should be stamped on the head of the key.

Enter "RV KEY number ***" in the search box.
  • Any good locksmith. I had 3 extra sets of keys made for our Montana after DW inadvertently locked our one set inside the trailer.
  • I was able to go to my local locksmith (not big box or hardware store) and get all my keys duplicated.

And it cost the same amount.

Soem hardwares have some of the blanks.. For example GilRoy's in Davison MI has a limited selection of Tri-mark blanks.

Some locksmiths can do it.. Now major locksmiths like Fred's in Detroit have dang near every blank made For the record this is my area of residence so I know these stores best but most major markets will have like Locksmiths.

Also,,,, In my life I have found sometimes a "Foreign" blank fits the lock.
For example I had a GE Radio... took a Chevy ignition blank.

    But don't count on that.

Your local Hardware or Wal-Mart likely won't have the blanks. Find a genuine locksmith

There is one west of Las Vegas.. The road just to the north of Circus Circus as an example of another place that has a good selection of blanks.

These are all LOCKSmiths or Lock & Safe places NOT hardwared RV dealers or stores that sell other stuff. Strictly Lock and Key
  • Might be able to get them free from your dealer. I believe that they have several keys that open anything they have on the lot. I cant imagine they have individual keys for each of the 100 or whatever RVs they have.

Don't know about where you are, but that's how I got my extras. Worth a phone call..........
  • What brand are the locks? I've had keys made from CB5 blanks used for The Club steering wheel lock & ilco 1681/FIC3 key blanks. The club blanks also worked for lock inserts on my Yakima roof rack. I am suspicious that Yakima lock inserts will work with my current FIC TT door locks, but the Yakima rack, extra lock cylinder cores and Yakima core core removal key got buried in my storage unit when I moved.
  • When I had my Trimark coach keys duplicated I found that hardware stores and home centers don't carry Trimark double-sided keys. I had to go to a lock smith.
  • I replaced the door lock with a keypad from RVLock and replaced all the storage locks to the round key style.
  • I went to Amazon and got a new set. Thanks for the advice
