There are places out west the I understand will not or do not recommend a soft sided camping unit due to bear problems. A Hybrid has soft sides on the sleeping beds, also in cold weather you will have to heat the tented ends. This might be something to consider. As far as what to buy, it will depend on what you want, take the time to look around and if possible test drive some of the motor homes,
If you get a small TT this will depend on if your tow vehicle can tow it or will you have to buy another vehicle. With a MH if you want to sight see etc. you will want some form of transportation other than the unit. Good luck with you decision
