At 58 you have to consider what you will do when you have to come off the road.
How will you adapt to living in a small space.
Before you buy my recommendation is to rent an RV in a park for the winter near where you want to be for the winter.
For example I go to Casa Grande, Az for the winter. The RV resort I go to (fiesta Grande) has units for rent by owner. Try to rent one similar in size to the size you are contemplating. It does not have to be the same type just abut the same size.
For example if you are looking at 35' Motorhomes rent a Travel Trailer about the same length for at least 90 days.
See how you survive in the smaller space. Then you will know if the life is for you.
Also consider whether you are going to buy new or used. Most here recommend newer used because, new rigs take a big hit in depreciation.
Are you thinking Travel Trailer, Fifth wheel, Motorhome each has advantages and draw backs.
Lots of research to do before you commit.
What is your health? What about health insurance will you be covered as you travel. You may think so but it is a real problem some people here face because their insurance out of their home area may cover emergencies only or give no coverage at all.
What state will you use for a home base and how will you maintain the appearance of having an address in the state. You may need this for insurance, licensing, Plates, taxes etc.
