As long as you are well funded for wherever life's road takes you in the years/decades to come I think it's a wonderful idea to start RVing now. I'd do some research at AARP, WSJ, Forbes and Money magazine's websites to figure out what the experts think is an appropriate amount of money to have on hand and the consequences of early retirement or breaks in working.
I'm 56, spent enough time in corporate America to know that I despised working in it but not enough to be "vested". Figured that out in my late 30's and opted to start my own business. Almost 20 years later, I've sold my main business and decided to RV for a year or 2; there are other things I want to do in life so hopefully won't do that forever.
Here's hoping RVing gives you the satisfaction you think it will:).
