ok, the can of worms has now been officially opened. Today I wanted to work on the fresh water system, pretty innocuous until you realize where you are: in a motor-home. It's under the convertible couch. When I got down to it there was some soft floor and wall at the bottom corner where they meet, right under the fresh water inlet which is also where the pump sits. Dark, ugly floor board, so I took the couch and the fresh water tank out(also under the couch). The bad area seems to be restricted to about an 18" x 36" area of the floor and goes up the wall about 4" for about 24" along the floor. Looks like water from both the pump output fitting and the fresh water inlet(not sure if it's the plate from the outside or the old tubing, I just replaced it yesterday with rigid tubing and an elbow) were the reasons.
I sprayed the dark area with Concrobium, a mold stopper and inhibitor for tonight and will get out the respirator and start removing the bad flooring and section of wall. Also looks like I have to replace the pump output fitting and the water inlet port as I sprayed the mold inhibitor on then in my haste.
Oh boy, am I going to have fun or what? :M
Any pointers/tips on steps needed to complete this job? I think I heard somewhere there is a 6 step process to this task, will also do some web searching on that also.
