rhinoflex hose, removing elbow for storage

This is a rookie question, but I don't want to break my stuff.

I have the 15 ft rhinoflex hose kit complete with adapters.

Now, I can twist off the bayonet (?) end that connects to the trailer and if I line up the tabs, it will fit in my 4" bumper for storage. But what about the elbow? Of course this won't fit in the bumper, but there were no instructions on or in my box as to how to remove it. I tried some gentle twisting, with no luck.

I don't want to force something and break it. But is this elbow supposed to come off? If so, how?

Thanks!

  • Use a 5" PVC fence post and it all fits except the elbow, which comes off easy. I guess a tote would eliminate all disassembly, but the fence post can mount right near the dump valves, and you carry the hose around a little less.
  • go watch the sale video it shows you how on the web page you posted.
undue the locking collar and spin the fitting off
    clockwise tights
    counter clockwise loosens
there's arrow on the locking collar
  • x3. Bumper will just rust inside and ruin your sewer hose. We use an empty cat litter plastic pail that has a sealing top and it holds the hose and elbow and all connections.
