Five years ago, after a detailed comparison, I found that Progressive had much better roadside service than State Farm (and State Farm’s agent agreed). I also compared it to Good Sam’s and the only difference was the additional vehicle coverage but the Progressive’s roadside premium is substantially less than Good Sam’s.
I’ve had no roadside claims with Progressive but they were very professional in handling the replacement of my two windshields a few years ago and their premiums have not risen significantly in the 5 years that I’ve been with them.
Insurance rates very substantially from state to state, city to city, owner to owner so it’s hard to say how yours will compare to anyone else.
