I have Progressive RV insurance and it did come with a no extra charge Roadside Assistance coverage. I do not know who they use, but I have an ERS plan with Coach-Net. If the Progressive ERS is anything like what another large insurance company was giving me with no extra charge for my car, what they do is call a tow truck from a local garage that is open 24/7. To fix a flat or get you started this is fine, but my concern was what happens if something RV related occurs. The kid at the local garage with the tow truck has likely never seen an RV before. Coach-Net claims that when you call you will be able to talk with an RV tech and who they send will be RV knowledgeable. This is why I am paying for the Coach Net plan. I am not going to say that Good Sam is any different. If you ask which is better you will get an equal number of answers for both. But the bottom line is I want someone who knows RVs to show up and that would be Coach-Net or Good Sam.
I have been fortunate never to have had a need to make a call for help and may find out that this all is not so, but if that happens that will be the last year for me for that plan.
