I have disowned Consumer Reports since they complained that my Ford did not have padded sunvisors. this was on my 1966 and I had the option to spend $5 more and have them installed. I carry a grudge for a long time. they also made the outstanding/insightful observation that there was a difference in ride between hard chine and soft chine boats.
and their appliance ratings/recommendations end up being on discontinued models and don't take into consideration that their favorite costs 2x a slightly lower rated item.
