RV spot near Vancouver for newbie's first trip?

We just took delivery of a 2014 Jayco 20MRB travel trailer and have a GMC 2500HD Duramax. We've never been campers and this is our first TT, although we are experienced horse haulers. We live in south Surrey and are looking for suggestions for a first place to set up camp for 2 or 3 nights. We are looking for a well-run place within 2 hours drive with full hookup (30 amp power, water and sani) minimum, plus any other goodies to help us ease into this e.g. wifi, cable, store, room service (just kidding) - whatever helps! It has to be pet friendly or we won't get a vote from our black lab. A scenic/hiking/tourist reason to be there would be nice as well. Basically we know we are going to encounter teething trouble with trailering but we'd like to take "camping in a bad spot" out of the equation. All help appreciated, especially that based upon first hand experience. Thanks all!
  • Bridal Veil Falls/Camperland RV Resort east of Chilliwack off TCH 1 is a nice place to visit. The Provincial Park offers hiking trails to the base of the Falls; there are pull thrus and backins with privacy for most all sites. Very easy to find; lots of park in which to walk the dog. This is an easy hour to hour and a half drive from Surrey. Lots to see in the area.
  • We have stayed at Pacific Border RV Park and found it very good.Hot tub, pool etc and we walked into White Rock.
  • Ok then like I said Fort Langley is very nice. Sorry you guys missed the play offs but there is always next year. Fort Langley has wifi and is an easy drive from your place. Has a quaint little town within walking distance from the RV park. All the amenities shouldn't be much of a hassle for the first time out.

Sorry all, I forgot there is another Vancouver farther south. I'm talking about the one that just missed the NHL playoffs - Vancouver BC. And we are in south Surrey, about 45 minutes south of that.
  • If you are talking about Vancouver BC Fort Langley has a very nice RV park I have stayed there a few nights very very nice place. If you are talking about Vancouver Washington well that's a different story. Vancouver Island? Well different story again. There are many on Vancouver Island that I like.
