sanitizing fresh tanks - basic question
80 gal fresh tank I have 10% bleach (labeled Chlorinating liquid, which I use to do my pool following the TroubleFreePool Method). Most sites say 1/4 cup bleach per 16 gallons which would be 1.2...

We use the tank regularly, so we don't bother.
But if you insist:
- Chlorine is tough on plastic and rubber so you don't want to leave a strong concentration in your system. A couple times over concentrated likely won't cause a failure but eventually it can. Running a 2nd fresh water tank thru the system will remove and dilute any remaining chlorine.
- City water connection tends to get low level doses if you are on city water.
