Years ago I read here about using the swimming noodles to hold dishes in the cupboards and food in the refrigerator in place. At $1 each at Dollar Tree in the spring they are well worth it. Cut to size they fit firmly in cupboards and prevent things from moving. They work much better in refrigerators that the expensive tension bars I bought in the first place. The one on the bottom shelf has to be slit down the center to fit.
The last few years the slide out shelves in our pantry have come open sometimes when we travel. I took an old sock and firmly shoved it under the shelf so it cannot move. Not that it moving open ever mattered.
