When traveling with the 5ers, we always used a campground for a single night. That's what I missed about the motor home. For a single night in the motor home, we just stop where ever we happen to want to, ie. parking lot, roadside rest area, etc.
Just curious as to why you think that you cant do the same thing in your fiver?
We do most our vacations in the HOT summer time. So, we preferred to use the a/c. I didn't have a generator in the 5ers. We did occasionally do a parking lot stop-over with the 5er if it was cool enough. Our daughters were also younger, and with us then too.
We go to Oshkosh every year in July. I start the generator in the motor home when I leave my driveway, and don't shut it off til I'm parked in the campground at Oshkosh. We do that drive in a day & a 1/2. Generator runs the entire time.
Just personal preference I guess.

Um..no, the first quote is mine..the second was from a reply...did you think I was asking myself a question and then answering it?.
This is what two quotes look like, sorry I thought you were quoting yourself.
