stopping for a single night - rest area or rv park?

Just getting into this and have a toy hauler with no slides - what's the general consensus on midway stops between point A & B. Is it worth the hassle to set up everything for a single night in an RV...

I didn't say parking spot...I said campground. I did refer that it would be nice if campgrounds had overnight spots for $5-10/night with no amenities... I think you must of misread what I wrote...
