Thanks, everyone, for your awesome information and suggestions. I've enjoyed reading both the very technical assessments, as well as, the very practical ones. Of course, that old saying "Where there's a will - there's a way" should be everyone's camping motto.
Since I first posted I have I have been to the orthopedic specialist and I have an update. Doctor seems to think I still have some good miles left in my knees and that my present situation can be taken care of with arthroscopic surgery to repair torn meniscus and then some basic therapy. Scheduled for Sept. 1. I'll let you all know how it goes. Thanks.
