Im new to RVing and I have a 2001 weekend warrior with uvw4775# now I have a 2005 1500 HD with 6.0 and I am adding my Polaris Ranger am I over doing it for the truck ?

I will have my tongue scale tomorrow let you know what it is ? Thanl you for your help. My truck is technically a 2500 according to Chevy dealer. The 1500 HD HEAVY DUTY was just a 2500 with different tranny. Talked to chevy dealer today. It is not considered a 1/2 ton truck, but a 3/4 ton truck.
