Im new to RVing and I have a 2001 weekend warrior with uvw4775# now I have a 2005 1500 HD with 6.0 and I am adding my Polaris Ranger am I over doing it for the truck ?

FWIW: I was at my 12.5K lb receiver limits when I towed a Weekend Warrior FB2200 with a larger truck.
It is NOT a typical 1/2 ton.
That being said the OP should heed the comments about tongue weight etc.
I don't recall seeing which WW he is planning to tow, so we don't know the actual weights.
Let's see if he comes back with more data.

Yeah, you'll never have any towing issues that way.:B- Don't tow that trailer with a 1/2 ton truck.
That trailer has 1600 lbs of tongue weight and weighs 8000 lbs empty.
My buddy owned that trailer and we weighed it both on a CAT scale and with a tongue weight scale. Bedlam wrote:

http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/28401312.cfm- I had a WW FS2600, it is a very heavy trailer, much heavier than the stickers say it is, I had a 250cc quad and 4 dirt bikes (2 adult, 2 small kids) and full of water it was close to 11,000lbs
Now that being said, my buddy had the same trailer but towed it with a 2500hd with the 6.0 engine and it worked, towed pretty slow up hill, it was more stabile than mine towing with an Excursion, I don't know the differences in the 1500hd and the 2500hd, it is worth looking into but my gut tells me you will be buying a new truck.
