Voltage drop says that is not the first choice.
It's a battery maintainer at 5A or less and the low current means less voltage drop.
If voltage drop for trickle charging is a concern then Trik L Start with it's internal 0.2V drop is not the right device.
On my last MH I used a 2A 2 stage charger for the chassis battery. The pro was less cost and the con was no chassis charging with solar.
