vavles

having the valves facing top/bottom is that on or off
lleft to right is that on or off. The manual we have does not have that page?

The water pump is there an easier way to drain it?

i know it sounds silly but we want to make a trip to VA beach in August so we are getting everything in order.

I thank you again.
  • If your handle crosses over the direction of the pipe (like a T) it is closed. If the handle is going the same direction as the pipe, it is open. At least all of mine have been that way.
  • Does this make any more sense than it did when it started??
  • Gailci,

If Old Biscuit picture does not answer your valve question, then we will need more information. Like what make, year, model and the valve service.

As to the potable pump, some have connections that are easily detached, some you have to pull a hose off. Again, if we knew what the pump was, there is a much better chance of a correct and simple answer.

  • Hi rvten

I forgot that part, thank you
it is a 1995 Damon Challenger
  • Would help a lot. If you told us what you have. Make model .
Just what valves are you talking about.
  • I'm just guessing but are you asking about the valves on water heater?

3 valve system 'quarter turn' valves

only 1 or 2 valves.....point handle in direction you want water to flow

And then there are some valves that handle position will not matter cause valves are not 'quarter turn' valves but type of valve that is like a hose bib.....turn until fully OPEN (counter clockwise) or fully CLOSED (clockwise)

    Drain water pump??

Just turn it on and run dry...they are designed to run dry without harm
