Most of the time warranty work is refused is when the buyer chose not to buy from the local dealer even if they would match the price. Owner then expects local dealer to do warranty work to save a trip back to selling dealer.
Car dealer tried that BS with me several years ago.
I bought off my brother-in-law, which was not close to my home. Problem arose, local dealer said I should take it back to where I bought it.
I called manufacture, BIL's dealership called manufacture---Manufacture called the local dealer. They sign agreements to do warranty work.. they did NOT want to lose their franchise.
Local dealer honored warranty :B Stand up for what is right, insist they do what is right. No problem :p
