Washer and Dryer use?

If you have a washer dryer combo in your MH do you use everyday laundry detergent in it? Do you use a liquid fabric softener in it. Just want to make sure everything is ok going into the tanks.

I bought bathroom tissue today, put some in some water and gave it a shake or two. Does not look like it is what I want.

    I don't have a washer/dryer but for toilet paper, we have found that Angelsoft is a good compromise as follows:

    1. "Works well" before flushing
    2. Breaks down quickly after flushing
    3. Inexpensive compared to the specialty types

    Older MH, not all manuals there, or manuals that belong to nothing in or about the RV, strange that. But someone here was nice enough to send me one. Slowly finding manuals online for this and that. Thanks.

    Read the owners manual for instructions of detergents and fabric softeners. It will vary a bit with different manufacturers.

    As far as TP, any septic safe is fine to use, unless your dumping 2 minutes after flushing a wad of TP down, don't worry about it. Your black tank is a holding tank not a septic tank.


    Thanks I printed the one for my combo off. With two grandchildren along, well lets just say they get dirty, thank goodness for the shower outside on the side of the MH..lol.

    As far as TP, any septic safe is fine to use, unless your dumping 2 minutes after flushing a wad of TP down, don't worry about it. Your black tank is a holding tank not a septic tank.

    I wish we had one, but I guess I'll have to wait till our next RV. I follow an RV blog and they made a informational video about their washer/dryer combo. Maybe this will help you.

    My Splendid Combo manual says no dryer sheets, it will plug the pump.
