YES they (CPVC) plugs will fit..same 1/2" NPT size except for one real important item.........HEAT
CPVC is NOT rated for the temperatures that can be reached in an RV water heater.
CPVC temp rated only up to 200*F MAX------
Nylon temp rated up over 400*F safely
Water heater T&P Relief Valves OPEN at 210*F
That is one reason Atwood uses the NYLON plug......temp rating
Atwood drain plug is ONLY 1/2"-----drain valve opening is only 1/4"
More stuff can be flushed thru 1/2" hole vs 1/4" restricted hole.
As is 1/2" is NOT big enough especially if you stick a wand in thru drain hole
BUY the NYLON 2 pack and change them out. :S
