Water Heater Drain Valves..are they worth it?

Installing any variation of drain system instead of simply removing the nylon drain plug from an Atwood water heater suggests the owner won't then ever properly drain and flush the tank on a periodic basis. Amazing how much crud can be flushed out of a water heater tank using this purpose designed water heater tank flusher.



Atwood sells the appropriate nylon plugs in a 2-pack so I see no reason not to use them, along with periodically flushing out the tank. Heck, CW even sells an Atwood Water Heater Drain Plug Kit to make the job even easier. :)
