When connected to shore water you don't need to use your water pump.
You should always place a water pressure regulator between your rig and and the shore water supply - also remember to turn off the shore water at it's source if your leaving the rig for any time - otherwise if there is a break in one of your plastic fittings the shore water will flood the rig.
