RENT, YES, but not a Class A or C if that is not what you think you would like. Very different living, even for a weekend, in a motorhome versus a travel trailer.
If you want to stay with a 1/2 ton pickup, you need to be very careful on fully loaded weight. When you are shopping make sure that you get a truck with the heavy duty trailer tow option.
