Beat the taxes. That is the American way. And don't worry about it. Our federal Gov't has so many ways to get your tax money, you'll never really beat them. All you can do is keep your tax burden within reason. However, even then, it has to be better than the taxes in the UK. Isn't that one of the reasons that USA broke away from England?
All kidding aside, it is wonderful to read your post. And to hear someone so excited to become part of America. This really is a great country. And your post is refreshing.
I would recommend buying your camper in Florida. No sales tax. And lots of selection, with little rust. But watch out for insurance costs. Some counties are better than others for insurance rates.
