What determines the Class? A, C, Super C, B, B+, confused

What determines what Class the RV belongs to? It can't be length. I'm looking for something between 25 and 30 feet for wife and I. This will be our first RV. Want to travel around and explore USA ...

I don't like/need the bed over the cab. There's only two of us, and neither is going to climb up there. :)

So I guess I should just look at the Class A and B+
