The only class differences clearly defined are A and C. A's are specially built around a specific chassis and the driving compartment is part of the house, no van front. Class C's have a cut away van chassis with a house built behind and sometimes over the cab.
Then came Class B which muddied the waters a bit. First a class B was a van body modified for RV accouterments inside. Then they expanded them and pushed out the sides but had no cabover. I even saw some that widened the van chassis. Then along came what was called B+. Generally it was a Class C with no cabover or an entertainment center as a cabover. Purists can't agree on whether they are a Class B or a Class C. I had a Winnebago Aspect which some called a Class B+ but I felt it was really a Class C.
The upshot of all this is what each is called is not important. I know this and other forums have threads differentiated by class but if you assign yourself to 1 you may be missing out on information in the other. The same goes for searching for one for sale, If you only search for a Class B, you might miss the perfect one that is listed as a Class C. Don't worry about what it is called, Find the one you like and go camping.
