I'm sorry if I offended you - I'm not trying to criticize.
When I went fulltime, I set up my new address in Florida. I then filled out the on-line change of address form at the US Post office site so all mail going to my old address would be forwarded to the new one. Yes, I tried to make all the permanent address changes but some fell thru the cracks.
The Post Office will forward first class mail for 1 year, but periodicals for a shorter time (not sure how long).
Since, you will only be gone till September, this might work for you. You could pick a mail forwarding service (Escapees, St Brendan's Isle) and use that as your 'new address'. Fill out the on-line Post Office change form. All your mail would then be forwarded to that address and you could periodically have them send mail to your current location or, if the CG does not accept mail, then forward to General Delivery at the closest town (small towns seem to work best IMHO).
