IMO, many people make too much of a big deal about this.
We were full-timers for about 3 years, rotating between Montana, Washington, and California. We went to The UPS Store and rented a Personal Mail Box (PMB). the address of the store became our mailing address, with the PMB number added in.
As in:

PMB YY
Great Falls, MT ZIP+4
Our driver licenses remained in Montana, our vehicle insurance remained in Montana, our vehicle registration remained in Montana, etc. Nothing changed except the mailing address. We stayed in one place for 13 weeks, then moved. I would call the UPS store in advance of the move, telling them to hold the mail until notified. Then, when we were relocated, I would call them and give them the new address to forward the mail to.
At that time, online bill paying was not an option. It caused no trouble.
I considered, but did not do, a change of address to Wyoming, to get away from the Montana income tax. If we had done that, THEN we would have had to change driver licenses, vehicle registration, insurance, etc. to match our new WY residency. There are UPS Stores in WY, so no trouble.
