What do you use as a Toolbox in your camper?

I use DW's old full grain leather purses. They just about hold everything I need, stows away in small spaces never cracks.

I dont have any in mine yet, bought the trailer at the end of last summer and only had a chance to use it a few times. Im going to grab some cheap tools and place them in a bag like others are using.

What do you mean "a" toolbox. I have four 16" tool boxes. I should get rid of one of them but I'm some how attached to my tools.

The Goldilocks bag. Not too big, not too small. Not too many pockets, not too few. Where do all the guys with molded tool-keeper boxes put their zip-ties?
Husky 15 in. Tool Bag at Home Depot.
I need to throw a multi-tester in there. Plenty of room.

I don't use anything. We have a junk draw inside that has a screwdriver or two, some sticky hooks and the like and on the floor of the front storage just inside the door I have a hammer, wrench and pliers, that is about it. Takes up no space.

The rest into a toolbag. The benefit of the bucket is that it can come in handy for many things. For example, bleach water to add to the FW tank, or if I am boondocking and the gray water tank is nearing full, I can use the bucket and dump stuff into the black tank.

I use a bag for the electrical tools, but have a hard plastic Kobalt 200 piece tool kit for the rest of the tools. Includes bits, screwdrivers, pliers, vice grips, level, hammer... We were buying everything for the camper at once (didn't have much in the way of unused duplicates at home) and this provided most every tool I would need in a flat case that could be placed underneath other items in transit. Works great for us.

I use a bag too. It is kept under the bed and being fabric it won't ding the interior of the RV.

I have a full workshop in my home and work van (not the TV). I just want to take along enough tools to do quick repairs or limp home. I'm not a full-timer.

So this works for me, in addition to a box of socket wrenches and torque wrench in their own boxes



These are nylon. For a cheaper, cotton, version, try Harbor Freight, $8 or less, regularly on sale for $5-6. I use these to hold my pneumatic tools rather than the blow-molding OEM boxes.
