We have a small charcoal grill. I have a hitch-mounted cargo carrier in which I have the grill, charcoal, grill tools and some fire logs, all contained in a canvas bag from HF (not COMPLETELY waterproof) and some small tarps with bunjies.
Some campgrounds limit what you can use and if you can plan ahead for each trip you may decide to take one or the other.
The hitch mounted cargo carrier is a brilliant idea. I'm going to buy one of those and that way i won't have to worry about the grill being inside the trailer.
