What do you use for a BBQ?

Just bought a 25' TT. First time owning a trailer. I plan to do a lot of grilling while camping but not sure what kind of grill I should buy. It can't be too big because storage is an issue. Do most people with this size of trailer just go with a small charcoal grill? That kind of seems like the easiest option for me.

If I do get a gas grill (and excuse me if this is a stupid question), can it be run off one of the two propane tanks that are currently connected to my trailer? Surely I don't need both tanks connected at the same time, so I could use one for the grill temporarily, or is that a terrible idea?

  • I bought a small propane grill at Walmart and use a small propane tank, same height but smaller diameter than the usual 30 lb propane tanks. Both grill and tank are easy to store.
  • Hose

I use this grill but still just use the small tanks for portability. But the hose link above wold work for a large tank.

I probably would not use the trailer tanks unless I had to. Buy another small tank or something. On my motorhome I have a connection for the grill if I need to use it.
  • yes it is a terrible idea. you could have a quick connect installed to plug a grill in without disconnecting tanks.
