I wish to revise my earlier post about what prompted me to become a RVer. My reply was "A Tent". It should have been a wet, soggy, tent. And I don't mean the new nylon wonder fabric of today. I'm talking about the heavy, army surplus type tents. You know the ones with the 4x4's for uprights, a 2x6 for a cross member and enough stakes to keep John Henry busy for the better part of a day. Canvas that seemed a half inch thick and still seeped water during a good rain. The only saving grace was that it did not have a floor sewn in, otherwise you'd never be able to carry an eight man tent with less that a dozen men.
My younger brother never got to experience these outings, as he had to stay at home. We didn't have room for him with all the poles, ropes, sledge hammers canvas and such.
Yup! RV is the way to go!
