If you plan to move back to the same area, go to UPS or Kinkos and find out if you can rent a box and have them package up your mail once a week and send it to you.
There are also commercial mail-forwarding services that you can use to establish a domicile in a specific state. I'm not familiar with any of them but there are several threads on it over in the Full-Time forum.
And regardless of what option you choose, convert as much of your mail as possible to electronic delivery. Much more secure and no chance of it being physically stolen.
