What else will be in the truck? Just you? Or, are you carrying a family of 6, pets, gear, a 4 wheeler, generator, and some fire wood?
Likely a 2500 series truck, gas or diesel, will be just fine but you may run out of payload capacity if you load the truck heavy.
You really don't have much drive train choice. Only the Dodge is even available with a manual. Ford and GM give you a choice of 1 automatic transmission. Your engine choice is gas or diesel, either will work. You want low (numerically high) axle gears for that much weight. GM gives you very little choice, Ford more so. If it's a GM diesel there is no choice, they are all 3.73. If you get a GM gas you can have 4.10 which I would recommend. Not sure on RAM axle choices.
