Hello, driving a distance of more than one day from one park to the next. Where do I stop with my 30' travel trailer and truck for the night?
How about another RV park? They rent sites for the night, too! - magicbusExplorer IIHello, you’re all being conned by s once-and-done newbie poster with a ridiculous question bound to elicit lots of opinions.
Dave - Grit_dogNavigator II^ Maybe it's the snowflake truckers, who feel ,like, all entitled and stuff.

You search out an RV park about half way.
That way you have power and water if needed.
Truckers do NOT like you taking one of "their" spots are rest areas.
Places like WalMart allow overnight parking in some places.....but not all.
So when are truckers the only one allowed to stop at a rest stop? - wa8yxmExplorer IIII USUALLY look for a Flying-J with a Denny's as the restaurant.
Pull in before dark, Hike over for Supper. again for breakfast and back on the road again. My AARP card gets me a discount at Denny's and I like the menu.
ALternate is a Cracker Barrel or any other major truck stop but J's with Denny's are #1... Many Wal*Marts also welcome RV overnighters.
THat said the Camp Ground Owner's assn. has convinced the govermanurents in some areas (City, county or state) that RVers should ONLY overnight in a licensed RV park. So some places (Nebraska for example) YOu are stuck in an RV park.
There is a nice one in Pender NE... Small. and you can get your Blue Ox Tow hardware fixed while you are there. (I should say NICE if you are UPWIND of the stockyards. when the wind blows the other way......) - ItsyRVExplorerThat depends on where you are and what you're looking for! The biggest question is are you looking to plan for that stop or just what comes when you need it?
- Matt_ColieExplorer IIJwvdkiv,
You neglected to include some pertinent information:
You are going for Where to Where?
Where do you think you would like to ONP? (Over Night Park)
Is the rig self sufficient? (aka do you have to have water or power)
Do you have a device that can work with Web sites or Apps?
As you have seen above, there are lots of answers, but we can be more specific and a lot more helpful.
Matt - swphotobugExplorerThere is bound to be a park between the 2.
- Gravel pits!
- bikendanExplorerCasinos, Cracker Barrel, Cabelas, Bass Pro are options also.
