Actually I never considered that in the winter rv parks won't be open.
But three seasons is better than 2 seasons.
Maybe say late march to mid November depending on where he is at.
As already pointed out even so-called "4 season" campers aren't really 4 season, aren't intended for full time, long term living in sub zero temperatures. Having done it myself, camping March to Nov even here in S Ontario which is well north of where you are is entirely possible in any travel trailer and at worst may require chewing through more propane to keep the furnace running in temps below 40F. The key is to have shore power available so an electric heater or two can be used as a primary source of heat, allowing the propane furnace to augment as necessary. An enclosed underbelly would help but it's not a necessity as the manufacturers (and others) would have you believe - just throw down a couple of runners on the floor and the interior will remain comfortably warm. Here in S Ontario we do have a few parks that remain open year 'round for winter camping and folks camp in everything from tents on up, 'though travel trailers of all makes & models are the most common. Your greatest issue will be finding a park that is open as early as March and as late as Nov, trim your expectations a bit and there wouldn't be any issue living in any type of trailer from mid to late April to mid to late Oct without any special considerations.
