Open Range 3x has a little more insulation due to the 3 inch walls. I don't do cold unless absolutely necessary but I can say that I can tell a tremendous difference in cooling. In our previous motor home both a/c's ran a lot but in the current fiver we have now they actually will cycle some. The way the underbelly is heated would probably do good in cold weather but I expect the lp would go rather quickly.
