I just got back from a little camping trip a few days ago, with a two-night stay at a site with no hookups. After one day and two nights, my pair of 6V batteries had a voltage of 12.5V with no generator usage. I could probably have gone at least a couple more nights.
If one has a residential fridge rather than an absorption fridge, the electric consumption naturally is a good bit higher and a larger battery bank is needed. But with a propane fridge, I don't see where a particularly large battery bank is necessary to avoid generator usage for a few nights.
